Qari Mohammed Siddiq Al Minshawi

Masri (Egyptian Arabic) or Sa`idi Arabic influenced Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi to recite quran by expressing his love towards Prophet Mohammed (saws).His dignity and excellent proverbs admire himself for the spirituality and Tajweed recitations. Siddiq El-Minshawi had become a professional reciter by extremely articulate and sincere about his faith. In performance he was restrained in his gestures, show and acknowledge his influence on their own style of recitation. His style is characterized by the melodic cadences and a density of modulations.

Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi was born in 1920,and become a household name across the Muslim world as the best-known of Egyptian reciters.However, because of his quality voice, he was beneficial to recitation for equally clear, strong, and relaxed registers. It is also said that he is one of the few reciters whose studio recordings are as effective as the live performance recordings.

 “Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a paradise whose width is that of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous – Those who spend, whether in prosperity or in adversity, who restrain anger and pardon men – for God loves those who do good.” (al-imran,133:134)

Siddiq El-Minshawi helps muslim communities to spread islam with tajweed recitations. Islam is probably the one that places the greatest emphasis on knowledge. The purpose is to understand God’s creation. Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi was a well-known religious scholar and author of many books on various aspects of the Qur’ân. He was also involved in the calligraphic printing of the Qur’ânic text and “World of Islam festival”. His status as reciter was somewhat official: he held the title Shaykh al-Maqâri, and his opinions were frequently solicited and quoted by the media. One can count a generation of younger reciters among his imitators.
